Barium stearate 

（1）FORMULA：Ba(C17H35COO)2

（2）PROPERTIES: Barium stearate is white or yellowish powder, insoluble in water and soluble in hot alcohol, it can absorb water in air and decompose into stearic acid and corresponding barium salt in case of strong acid.

（3）Application: Barium stearate is used as high temperature resistant lubricant for machinery, high temperature resistant powder molding agent for rubber products, light and heat resistant stabilizer and lubricant for plastics such as polyvinyl chloride.
